Church Groups

Women's Fellowship

All women of the church are considered members of the Women’s Fellowship. Currently the larger group is divided into four smaller groups, known as “circles,” which are made up of a variety of age groups and use various materials for Biblical-based devotions and prayer. The groups also are involved in many mission projects throughout the year.

The current Circles are:

Circle of Hope, Circle of Joy, Circle of Help, & Circle of Faith

Each Circle group meets monthly at the church or other location. The groups encourage spiritual growth, missions and service. They collectively sponsor the annual Fall Bazaar in October of each year. The community is invited to come enjoy breakfast and lunch, Attic Treasures, baked and canned goods and local arts and crafts. They also coordinate the annual Chicken Pie sale. All proceeds of their fundraising efforts are shared with individuals and agencies in missions and the ongoing ministries of the Church.

We are an informal group of mostly mothers (who used to be 20-40 ish and now we are 30-50 ish) who meet at each other's homes for food, fellowship and devotions on the third Thursday of every month from about 6:30-8 pm. We sometimes collect an offering. Currently, we are studying “Cultivate- A Grace Filled Guide to Growing an Intentional Life”.  Our group provides outreach and mission support to people in our local community; support our women's fellowship and other church sponsored events like the bazaar and Wednesday night suppers; work with other Moravian churches and the province; attend spiritual retreats (in house, laurel ridge and cross denominational);  raise funds for local charities; sponsor angels for Christmas; and more.  We are open to new ideas and hope to see you at our next meeting!  Contact Holly Mathis hpmathis3@yahoo.com  336-404-0227 or Jennifer Harper harper.jenn@gmail.com 336-403-5746 for more information!

Circle of Joy:

The Circle of Joy meets the third Wednesday of the month (excluding June and July) at 11:30 to share in devotions, a program, the business interests, and then lunch. We take turns hosting our meetings in our homes and volunteer to present the program each month. During the year we work on projects such as Mother’s Day bake sale to raise money for the children in a Tanzanian orphanage, Christmas in July in which we collect items for KOM, Mission Blitz participation in which we work with many churches to repair homes of the less fortunate, contribute to and work at the Women’s Fellowship Bazaar to raise money for special projects of our church, sponsorship of the Angel Tree at Christmas to provide gifts for children in need, support of our deployed servicemen, card ministry by sending appropriate cards to family, friends, and church members, donations to various areas of our church, and upholding those in need in prayer. We are a group of women who enjoy being busy and have lots of fun while we are at it!  Contact Lynne Doby

Circle of Help:

The Circle of Help is a group of retired ladies, wishing to meet during the day time. These scheduled times are 1st Thursday of each month (except July-August) @ 1pm in homes or at local restaurant. We organized in 2006 with a focus to be involved with the older population in the church. This has been done and continues with home visits, providing transportation, special meals with bingo and fellowship. For a couple years the Pulliam Sunday school Class has joined residents at Village Care, who were members of their class for food, fellowship and visiting. Each Christmas the circle provides a love feast for a local nursing home. Recently, we contributed $200 to the Dolly Parton Reading Program that partners with Stokes County Partnership for Children. She's provided a book for stokes children monthly from birth to school age.

The Bible studies have included Women of the Bible, The Jesus I know, and currently Men of the Bible. We donate $1 per person at each meeting to meet expenses of our programs. In the past, this money was used to buy 6 foot tables for the fellowship hall and picnic shelter.

The word HELP is

Men's Fellowship

All men of King Moravian Church are invited to be a part of the Men’s Fellowship group. Currently the Men’s Fellowship does not have a regular meeting schedule, but they do sponsor the annual Brunswick Stew which coincides with the Fall Bazaar. The Men gather to peel the vegetables and prepare the meat, then fellowship around the large black stew pots as they stir the stew all night before the Bazaar. They are ready for sales the next morning. In addition, they sponsor the annual Pine Needle Sale in the spring.   All proceeds from both the stew and pine needle sales support missions and the ongoing ministries of King Moravian Church.

Senior Friends

Our Senior Friends are the older adults of King Moravian Church. The group usually gathers once a month for planned day trips, fellowship, and prayer. Check the announcement sheet in your worship bulletin for details.
